Now in my intro post, I told you guys that A. I was a serial dater and B. I was trying to remember this from a year ago right? So with that being said, I'm pretty sure some of these dates are out of order but I don't think that matters much. I'm still not ready to update you guys on WB, so I'll tell you about Mandrill...
Now I think that's how you spell his name. He was yet another guy that I met via the dating site. He seemed okay, he looked like a pretty boy which I don't really like. When I think pretty boy, most of the time I think gay. If he's pretty, he's got to have some kind of edge to him...like this guy that will come in a later post.... Ooooweeee....thinking of him makes me want to scroll through my phone contacts. But I'm not.
Back to Mandrill...he seemed like a cool conversationalist, and I of course decided to give him my number. Now I don't exactly remember what happened, but I do know that we spoke on the phone and he was describing to me the disastrous encounters he had with online dating. Says that not one of the women he met actually looked like the photos they had posted. I assured him that I was who I said I was...I believe we agreed to meet and he ended up canceling. Now that was strike 1 for Mr. Drill. He apologized a couple of times before I would agree to try it again. He asked to meet up at Pappadeaux. Now I absolutely love Pappadeaux so I was extremely happy with his choice. I pull up at the restaurant, my nerves weren't as active as with Jay or WB. Probably because of his cancellation. He comes and meets me at the door. First impressions were that he did not look like his pictures. He looked smaller, however he was a bit more attractive in person than his pictures showed. He was still kinda on the short side though. He was might height with maybe 3 in heels on. We were seated and he was very entertaining. He made me laugh, he was gentleman, and he was attentive. He was definitely making up for the first impressions. We stayed in the restaurant for hours, we had drinks, we ate, and just had good conversation. Now I'm very observant and though I may not call people on things when I first notice them, I will file them away for future reference. He ordered an appetizer, for his meal. Now if I know anything about men is that they eat. Now granted he wasn't a big dude by any means, but a damn appetizer for a meal? Yellow flag for me. Not really a red flag yet because he didn't look panicky when I ordered my meal or my drink. We wrapped up our meal, and actually sat in the car in the parking lot and talked some more. I let him listen to my favorite song of the moment, which I can't remember lol. But I know I used to jam to it! I'm sure I'll remember after this post is complete and I'll update you guys with it.
We ended up going to waffle house and getting some coffee. And I think I ordered a waffle. I did tell you guys I like to eat right? Now in waffle house, he decided that we should take pictures together. He already had his "picture face" down. I know we took like 30 pictures because he was just as picky as me. He also had like 500 pictures in his phone of himself that he showed me. Arrogant much?
After waffle house, I decided it was time to head home. Now here comes the weird part. He says I think that you should come stay with me for a week. Now let me reiterate that this was the FIRST date. We only talked on the phone a couple of times, and you asking me to come stay a week with you, at your house, alone? For real?? And he was dead serious. He told me that he was tired of dating and he didn't want to do it. He says that people never really get to know each other until the spend an extended amount of time together. Which I agree with to an extent, however...you just don't ask random people to pack a bag and come stay at your house. Like WTH! First crazy experience number 1! Needless to say there was NoPunanie4U.
Until next time folks!
